Are you sure you need original content?

If you have been marketing on the web for a while, you will know that content is king. Not only do you need to have fresh content on your site evey now and then, you need fresh UNIQUE content to get ahead in search engine rankings.
As more writers submit their articles to article directories, even more site owners are publishing them on their websites. This inevitably creates a multitude of duplicate content on the Internet. Why should a surfer visit your site when he or she can easily find that same article else where, especially if it's related to a
popular industry.
Seach engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN frown on duplicate content and will even penalize a website for having too much. So many serious affiliate marketers are beginning to learn to write their own content. And if you are promoting a niche that you have passion for, writing your own articles will be much easier.
Note that even though onff page optimization is much much more important in terms of ranking, onpage optimization is still crucial to make the search engines like you.
Writing your own articles mean you can incorporate some high-bid keywords in the text that will trigger some profitable Adsense ads. Besides the text, Google will
trigger the types of Adsense ads base on the page title as well, so make sure whatever keyword your article is about is also in the title.
You don't need to be a professional writer to come up with an article, sometimes you don't even need to be grammer perfect. What you need to do however, is to be able to put your argument across to the readers. One of the tricks I use often is to incorportate the 4Ws and 1H when I'm writing: Why, What, Who, When and How.
Of course you don't have to do it but it works for me. Now I can write an article in 10 mins or less.
Another alternative to writing your own unique content is hire someone to do it. When I was building my first niche website, I knew the importance of having my own unique content but I didn't know how to write then. In fact, every time I tried to do it, I kept finding excuse to put it off!
But my sites couldn't do without quality original content so I hired someone to write about 10 articles for me with the keywords I want. Slowly, I began to take down most of the reprinted articles from my a couple of my niche sites, keeping a few good ones that I thought would be useful to my visitors.
Now I'm averaging one newly written article per week for each of my sites so I have at least four new articles every month. Plus, when Google sees you are constantly updating your site, you will appear as a quality resource and push you up the rankings (albeit slowly).
You can go to elance.com or scriptlance.com and put your article project up for bidding for free. Many writers will then bid to write for you. Depending on topic and length, it can cost as low as $10 to $50 or more per article.
In conclusion, having fresh and unique content will not only improve return visitor rate but also help in search engine rankings.
Of course when you have more return visitors, your Adsense earnings will improve, especially when your content is
optimized with high paying keyword. This is something that cannot be done with free articles.
