5 Ways To Boost Traffic To Your Website

1. Articles. Articles are great tools to get targeted traffic to your website. The bonus about this traffic is that they're going to your website having just read something you wrote. So these visitors would rank as highly targeted, and more importantly highly interested. Once you write a great article you can submit them to article websites all over the internet. Most importantly when you write articles you prove to the audience that you're an expert in the field. That's the mindset that readers have when they're reading articles. So if they read your article, enjoyed it, and click to your website then they'll read your website knowing that you're an expert in the field.

2. Forums. Forums are great places to learn about all kinds of things. It's also a great place to share information with other people. In forums you're allowed to have a signature line which is a spot that you can put your website URL (most websites will only allow you to post your URL in your signature line). So every post you contribute has a link to your website. Also, search engine crawlers love forums. One important thing about forums is to sign up your username as your actual name. You will get more people clicking to your website if you actually use your real name. This way people have more trust in you, and will more likely visit your website knowing that it's your creation.

3. Submit to Search Engines. Most search engines have a submit url page, where you can send your URL, website title, and a description. This will help the search engine know that your website exists. Once they find your site, then you don't have to do anything else. The spiders will automatically serach through you're whole website (unless you specify them not to).

4. Tell your friends and family. This is probably not the most targeted traffic, and most likely won't convert to sales, but it's always great to hear feedback from your friends and family.

5. Offline Sources. There are many ways to promote your website offline. bumper stickers, hats and shirts with your URL on it, at the bottom of letters you send out to people. The list is endless.

Of course there are other ways to get traffic to your website. The main thing is to keep learning. Keep learning new ways to get traffic to your website. Learn new ways to improve the clickthrough rates to your website. Soon you'll have more traffic everyday.
